Daniela Arriado is a Chilean/Norwegian curator and art consultant. Her research explores the moving image and audio-visual arts. Her work is inspired by the encounters between art and new technology, the contemporary expression constantly being born through this meeting point. Her projects seek new curatorial approaches towards expanded borders of cinematic experiences and the audio-visual: the origin and vision behind Screen City Festival, which she founded in 2013 in Norway. Her current projects evolves around online distribution & exhibition platforms for moving image art.

Daniela has been involved with several media art festivals, organizations and cross-disciplinary projects gathering art, technology & urban development, working close with an international community of architects, urbanists & artists. In 2014 she founded Art Republic Media, a nomadic platform & umbrella lab empowering most of her projects.

She has worked for i/o/lab – Centre for Future Arts developing projects like Public Art Screens, and for Tou Scene, and academic research at Bergen Academy of Art & Design. Being an ambassador of PNEK – production network for Electronic Arts, Norway, her aim is to provide good production conditions for artists working with electronic and interdisciplinary art, and to mediate the Norwegian Media Art scene abroad.

Daniela has been based in Berlin since 2012, but constantly commutes to her beloved Chile and Norway.
